In short

This AI script generator writes one short scene in real screenplay format from your idea: a scene heading, action, character names and dialogue between two characters. It is free, needs no signup and shares the daily AI limit of our other tools; save the scene as Fountain, PDF, Word, Final Draft or text.

Each scene is between two characters. Leave the names blank and the AI picks them.

Written by AI, so treat it as a first draft. Free, no signup, up to 15 runs a day. We do not keep what you type.

How to use it

  1. 1

Describe your idea in a few sentences: who is in the scene, where they are and what is at stake.

  2. 2

Name the two characters if you like, then add a genre and a tone.

  3. 3

Press Write the scene, then edit it, copy it or save it as Fountain, PDF, Word, Final Draft or text.

What does the AI script generator write?

One short scene, usually under a page: a scene heading such as INT. DINER - NIGHT, a line or two of action, and a run of dialogue between two characters with parentheticals only where they change how a line is read. It is a starting point for a scene, not a whole screenplay.

The scene comes back as Fountain, the plain text screenplay format that ScriptLix Studio, Highland, Fade In, WriterDuet and other apps read, so the formatting survives when you paste it.

How do I get a better scene out of it?

Be specific about the pressure. A premise that says what one character wants from the other, and why they cannot just ask, gives the model something to play under the lines. Vague premises get vague scenes.

Then rewrite it. Change every line that sounds like it could be in any movie, cut the first and last exchange, and read it out loud.

Is a script maker the same as a script generator?

They are the same idea. People search for a script maker or a film script maker when they want words on the page in the right shape. This tool does the shape for you; the story and the voice are still yours.

Questions writers ask

Is the AI script generator free?

Yes. No signup, up to 15 AI runs a day without an account and 30 with a free one, shared with our other AI tools.

Can it write a whole screenplay?

No. It writes one short scene at a time between two characters. A feature is 90 to 120 pages, and that part is still writing.

Is this the same as script coverage?

No. This tool writes a new scene from your idea. Coverage reads a script you already wrote and tells you what works and what to fix. Write here, then get coverage once you have pages.

Who owns the scene it writes?

You do. Use it, change it or throw it away. We do not keep what you type.

How is it different from the dialogue generator?

The dialogue generator asks for two characters, a situation and the subtext. This one starts from a premise, a genre and a tone, for when you have an idea but not a scene yet.
