- Do I need a plan to use the Screenplay Studio?
- No. The editor and every local tool are yours with no account: real screenplay formatting, scene and cast tools, export and print. Only Script Buddy and scoring spend credits, and those credits top up daily: 5 a day with no account, 50 to start and 10 a day once you sign in. Writer includes 1000 credits a month and Industry has no ceiling.
- What is the difference between Writer and Industry?
- Writer is for one writer working on their own drafts, with 2 deep reports and 30 table read pages each month. Industry takes most caps off: unlimited scores, 10 deep reports a month, 150 table read pages, and room for a team of 5. If it is just you and one script, Writer is plenty.
- Can I cancel anytime?
- Yes. Cancel from your account at any time. You keep access until the end of the current billing period, then the subscription ends with no further charges.
- What happens at the end of a free trial?
- If the plan you picked includes a trial, the checkout page shows its length and the exact date of your first charge. When the trial ends the subscription converts to a paid period at the published price. We email you a reminder beforehand, and you can cancel any time during the trial to avoid being charged.
- Can I switch plans?
- Yes. Upgrade or downgrade from your account. Upgrades take effect immediately with a prorated charge. Downgrades take effect at the start of your next billing period.
- Do I get production rights with a subscription?
- No. Subscriptions and one-off purchases both cover personal reading and study only. Production, distribution, and exclusive rights are not sold self-serve on the platform. Contact us if you want to discuss them for a specific script.
- How do team seats work on Industry?
- One Industry subscription covers a team of 5: you plus 4 people you invite, at no extra cost. Invite teammates by email from your account settings, where you can also see how many seats are accepted, pending and still free. Each teammate gets their own login tied to the parent subscription and inherits every Industry benefit.
