THE RJUKAN OPERATIONWar Screenplay

Knut Hauge is a schoolteacher before the war, a commando after. His team parachutes onto the Hardanger Plateau in the winter of 1943 with orders to destroy the Vemork facility before the Nazis can finish their atomic program. Inside the plant they find Dr. Werner Brandt, a German scientist claiming to have turned, and detonators already in place. Brandt's story holds together. His transmitter does not. Knut has hours to decide which of them is sabotaging the sabotage, and the answer will determine whether the first atomic bomb is detonated in Berlin, Moscow, or New Mexico.

A Norwegian commando team arrives at a Nazi heavy water plant to blow it up. The building is already wired with explosives. A German physicist says he has defected. His radio transmits to Moscow. One of them is lying, and the war depends on which one.
