RATION ROLLS — War Screenplay

Sergeant Jonah Pike has been a prisoner at Andersonville for seven months and has watched the camp kill thirteen thousand men through starvation, disease, and deliberate neglect. When he traces a foul tasting rumor about the evening stew back to the mass graves, he discovers the Confederate kitchens have been committing the war's most unspeakable secret to keep the ration books balanced. The commander offers him a deal: help suppress the coming riot and walk out of Andersonville alive. Jonah has to decide whether the truth is worth dying for when the country he fought for may never believe it.

Andersonville prison camp, 1864. A Union sergeant organizing an escape discovers the camp has been feeding prisoners the flesh of their own dead. When a riot erupts, he has to choose between running and exposing a crime so terrible no one on either side will admit it happened.
