THE CITATION — War Screenplay

Thomas Reed has spent his life in the shadow of Major General William Reed, whose citation for the battle of Qayyarah is taught at the academy. A West Point cadet idolizes his father, a Medal of Honor recipient from Fallujah. Then a dying veteran contacts him and says the ambush happened, but the hero did not. His father's medal is covering a cover up.
