FADING ATLAS
Sela, the kingdom royal cartographer, is commissioned to produce the official new atlas. During her eastern survey she discovers that Halvenmoor and several other settlements have vanished, and the border is miles west of every official record. Her predecessor Maren private journals reveal the contraction has been documented and concealed for twelve years. When Sela delivers the accurate atlas, Lord Aldric files it in the restricted archive. Sela plants her accurate findings in the public record through every procedural channel available to her and returns to work.
A royal cartographer discovers the kingdom borders are quietly contracting, not from invasion or treaty but as if the land itself is forgetting it exists. Villages she mapped last year are gone, not destroyed, simply absent. She must decide whether to produce an accurate atlas that will destabilize the realm or a false one that hides what is coming.
