DOUBLE ENTRY

IRIS COLE, 39, a forensic accountant with a sixteen-year record of precision, takes an engagement at Parthenon Capital to investigate suspected internal fraud. She finds her own authenticated credentials in the fraudulent transaction trail. The investigation reveals she was hospitalized for a dissociative episode fourteen months ago, a period she has no memory of. Iris cannot determine whether she is the fraud she was hired to find, whether she was systematically framed using her own psychiatric history, or whether the dissociative episode erased weeks of actions she genuinely took. She presses the investigation toward its conclusion regardless of where it points. The answer changes everything, but not in the direction she feared.
