FADE IN:
INT. STERLING PENTHOUSE, FOYER, NIGHT
A private elevator opens onto marble. No one steps out. The
camera drifts forward into the foyer of a seventy second
floor Manhattan penthouse.
A Basquiat original hangs on the left wall, lit from above
by a museum grade fixture. Opposite it, a Jeff Koons
sculpture sits on a limestone pedestal, its polished surface
reflecting the city outside.
The foyer opens into the main living room.
INT. STERLING PENTHOUSE, LIVING ROOM, CONTINUOUS
Floor to ceiling windows frame Manhattan at night. Seventy
two stories below, the city performs its nightly ritual of
light and motion, indifferent to the silence above it.
The furniture is curated with surgical precision. A Mies van
der Rohe Barcelona chair faces a wall of windows. An Eero
Saarinen tulip table holds a single orchid. Every object is
placed as though a gallery director approved the position
and then checked it twice.
The camera moves through the room without stopping.
INT. STERLING PENTHOUSE, DINING ROOM, CONTINUOUS
A long Italian marble table set for four. Dinner is over but
the evidence remains: plates cleared, wine glasses at various
levels of empty, a single dessert fork abandoned on the
tablecloth like a small silver surrender.
INT. STERLING PENTHOUSE, MAIN HALLWAY, CONTINUOUS
The hallway stretches toward the far end of the penthouse.
African masks line one wall. Mid century furniture fills the
alcoves between bedroom doors.
The master bedroom: door ajar, light off.
